✌🏼about me.
Wondering how to pronounce my name? It's lay-law-lee, and for my fellow IPA nerds, it's [lailɑli].
I'm now working as a Conversational AI Specialist at StoryFile, working in multi-modal conversational AI experiences. I look at how humans interact with conversational video, and tailor the experience to fit every client's needs while chasing after the ever-elusive human-ness of, well, human conversation.
I'm an advocate of language access for all. Language rights are human rights, and this is one of the drivers of my work ethic & philosophy.
Thinking about language and how it shapes our world and perceptions drives a lot of the work I do, in both my professional and personal life. Some of it even shows up in the shape of a blog, where I post some of the thoughts I have concerning well, language and linguistics. My professional experiences spans community work, teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) classes and conversation design.

I like a good challenge and enjoy broadening my horizons through different experiences that come my way, and I'm always looking for opportunities in both the private and public sectors.
